Fingerprint Science (Dermatoglyphics) is the study of ridge patterns on our fingers, palms, toes, and soles. These patterns form in the womb and remain stable throughout life. Because they develop at the same time the brain develops, many believe fingerprints carry clues about how the brain has formed and how different regions are wired. Brainwonders uses this science in DMIT (Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test) to decode intrinsic potential.
Key Principles
Uniqueness: No two fingers (even of the same person) have identical ridge patterns. Brainwonders+1
Permanence / Invariance: Once formed (before birth), the ridge patterns don’t change over time. Brainwonders+2Learn Forensic+2
Genetic & Neurodevelopment Link: The same developmental processes influencing brain structure also influence fingerprint ridge formation. Thus, the fingerprint may reflect genetic and neurodevelopment traits.
